Better on a Bagel Supporting USA Cares in November

USA Cares to benefit from in-store promotion and customer donations

RADCLIFF, KY USA Cares will be a part of Radcliff eatery Better on a Bagel’s Charity of the Month program, an effort to give back to the local community. Five cents on every bagel sold in November will be donated to the organization.

The store owners also are considering joining the USA Cares “I Care Too!” Red Shirt Fridays program to show its support for the troops.

“We were looking for a way to give back to the community because they have done so much to help us. The decision was made to use a local charity each month. The type of charity would go along with that month and what was going on in that month. With November having Veterans Day we decided that USA Cares would be the charity of choice because they give back to military families. So the match was perfect,” store owner Robert Hay said.

The restaurant at 728 Knox Blvd. will display USA Cares literature to encourage others to support the organization in its mission to help military families. There will also be a donation jar on the premises.

“We need everyone’s help getting the word out about our programs,” USA Cares Director of Business Development Kim Moorman said. “We’re really happy to have the support of a local business.”
